The project “Professional and Personal Development Courses”, organized by CRD's "Make Your Voice Heard!" program, ended on July 25th, 2011.

The project was implemented in partnership with Biblioteca Municipala "Teodor Murasanu" Turda (The Municipal Library "Teodor Murasanu" Turda), through the project "Cum gasesti o carte...de munca" and its aim was the professional and personal empowerment of women and men in finding and obtaining good job opportunities, and thus avoiding social marginalization and professional discrimination. 28 persons aged 19 to 55 had the opportunity to attend personal and professional development courses for a period of 10 weeks.

The class modules featured topics as: introduction to using the computer and Internet, time management, developing communicational skills, conflict management, applying for a job - writing your resume and letter of intent, social and professional integration etc.

The positive feedback and the project’s results (the participants were invited to interviews and two of them were employed following the interviews) lead the organizers to restart the project with a small group of youth.

Here are several testimonials of our participants:

M. (50 years old): “This course made me realize the mistakes I made when I was looking for a job, or writing my resume and my letter of intent, or attending a job interview”.

E. (20 years old): “These courses were very interactive and pleasant. Although I was not as active during class time, I understood basic things which got my full attention”.
